Mr. Ditzenberger-Church History
Lessons: Modern Church History Week 11, March 31st-April 4th Unit: Church History
Objectives:
1. Students will analyze the movements of recent church history by watching a video and pausing for teacher led discussions.
2. Students will consider the impact of modern movements in Protestantism and list the basic characteristics of Evangelicalism.
3. Students will review the major themes, ideas, events, and people of church history.
4. Students will watch a video on the great reformer, Martin Luther.

Monday
1. Video Continuation.

Tuesday
1. Chapter 10.

Wednesday
1. Video Continuation

Thursday
1. Write one paragraph answering these two questions.
a. What comes to your mind when you think of “church history” now?
b. What’s your overall impression of church history?
2. Chalk talk-what you have learned from church history.
3. Review Church History

Lessons: Middle Ages and Reformation Week 10, March 17th-21st Unit: Church History

Objectives:
1. Students will finish watching the first video on church history.
2. Students will answer basic questions to help develop their understanding of the development of denominations.
3. Students will summarize the history of revivals in Christianity.
4. Students will discuss and explain the reasons for and the key figures in the modern missions movement.

Monday
1. Church History video.
2. Homework: Read Chapter 9 and summarize it in a paragraph for tomorrow.

Tuesday
1. Church History video.

Wednesday
1. Chapter 10, Lesson 28 in Notes-Modern Missions.

Thursday
1. Church History video.

Friday
1. Good Friday. Praise God for his goodness, his sacrifice, and for his forgiveness to believers throughout history.
